McGregor Park Family Session | Colin, Shelby, & Magnolia

Since I’m originally from Indianapolis, I often travel back to Indiana to see friends and family, and I love scheduling shoots while I’m in town. It’s fun for me to shoot in a place outside Chicago because I always feel a new source of inspiration and creativity from the change of scenery. 

Shelby and Colin are getting married in Noblesville, IN this coming summer and I’m lucky enough to be the photographer for their day. Colin proposed to Shelby while they were walking through McGregor Park in Westfield one afternoon. They both had the idea to come back and take their engagement photos at this very spot (and include their adorable daughter, Magnolia). I hate to say it, but she was absolutely the star of the show with her bright red hair and rosy chubby cheeks. 

I love the way the vibrant fall colors pop with the golden light in these photos. It amplifies the joy and love this family has for one another. I can’t wait to capture their admiration again this coming June. It’s going to be so magical—I can already feel it.
