Humboldt Park Maternity Session | Molly, Cole & Baby

There is something so incredibly special about capturing the joy of two people in love who are about to bring new life into this world. It’s incredibly genuine and pure. The most heart-felt kind of love that you want to remember forever. Anticipation and excitement for what’s to come. All the memories yet to be had.

Molly is a dear friend from college which makes these moments all the better. I feel so incredibly lucky to get to experience a beautiful summer evening walking around Humboldt Park with two individuals so enthusiastic for what’s to come. AND to document these moments with my camera is a dream come true.

Humboldt Park is one of my favorite places in the city to shoot because it really feels like an escape from busy urban life. Compared to Lincoln Park, Humboldt Park tends to be much quieter. Lincoln Park is beautiful but can often be saturated with photographers and tourists. Humboldt Park is just west of Wicker Park and has so much landscape to explore—a boathouse with a duck-filled pond, large open fields, and even a rocky beach. The photo ops are endless. Check out my sessions with The DeAlteris Family and Matilda to see more of Humboldt Park.

Molly and Cole welcomed their baby boy, Caden, in August. They are bursting with joy for this sweet little guy and deserve nothing but wonderful memories for years to come.
