Flash forward a year to the day later, on a warm September day in Temecula, California, Andrea and David were married…again—this time in front of all their friends and family.

Describing this day as beautiful just doesn’t quite do it justice. Galway Downs is set on a scenic piece of property occupying acres of wine country and horse farms. You drive on the hilling road of Temecula, California to get there. It’s wonderfully quiet and serene.

David and his groomsmen started the day’s events by playing nine holes at the local golf course. They paired off in two teams, smoked a few cigars, and had a friendly dose of rivalry before it was time for the true wedding festivities to begin.

Meanwhile, Andrea and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the Carriage Suite. When I walked in, Andrea was in the makeup chair, holding her baby daughter, Asher, with a huge grin on her face. The energy felt relaxed yet excited. Andrea slipped on her gown and got ready to meet David for their first look.

Before seeing Andrea, David opened a gift from her as well as his mother. His mother gave him a few of his late dad’s handkerchiefs. David closed his eyes and smelled them as tears streamed down his face. He looked up and gestured to the handkerchiefs, “my dad’s”, he said.

Andrea brought along Asher for the first look—it only felt right for it to be a family affair. The California sun beamed as the three of them were reunited before saying “I do”.

After wedding party photos and the sweetest first look with Andrea’s father, it was time for the ceremony to begin. Andrea and David shared the most sincere vows for one another and joked how they’ve already shared a year of marriage together. The couple sealed their love with a kiss and receded down the aisle as their guests cheered and bubbles bounced through the air.

We were graced with gorgeous golden light for family photos and sunset portraits. We walked to an open area of the property just as the sun was melting past the horizon. It was wonderfully romantic.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour under bistro lights next to the Carriage House. Just as it turned to twilight, everyone was gestured inside so the reception could begin. The rest of the night was filled with sentimental first dances and a delicious dinner accompanied by heartfelt speeches. Andrea and David thanked their guests and invited everyone to the dance floor. They ended the night exiting through a glow stick tunnel with the most giddy smiles on their faces. Two, already married, new parents, best friends, madly in love. The ultimate love story.
