Fulton Market Engagement | Lacey & Max
When Lacey reached out to me about her engagement session with Max, she told me that although they didn’t have much practice in front of the camera, they loved the idea of embracing their quirky, goofy selves. She was fully on board for a playful, artsy vibe for her session and I always LOVE to hear that.
It was a beautiful evening to wander around Fulton Market. The light was perfectly golden and the energy was rather quiet for a Thursday post-work hours. After a walk around the block, chatting and stopping to shoot where the light was warm and reflective, Lacey and Max changed into their second outfit (extra points for the efficient alleyway wardrobe change). I loved how they kept their outfits simple but with a touch of edge. When in doubt, outfit simplicity is the way to go for a shoot. You want the outfit to compliment you, not be the star of the show.
Since the two of them met at an Irish pub in Chicago, it only felt right to end their session cheersing at Guinness at PB&J: Pizza Beer and Jukebox. It was a wonderfully authentic-to-them way to cap off their session.
Cheers to a lifetime sharing many more pints!
