Regan Baroni
Images shot for Regan Baroni
Oh how I love photographing the beautiful Regan. This was our third time shooting together and I have to say it was my absolute favorite of the three. As a fellow photographer, she just gets it. She knows the ins and outs as to what makes a photoshoot successful and gives me the creative freedom to play and explore. There is nothing better than when someone respects your ability to create and leans into the process without fear.
Regan completed all the necessary requirements for her motorcycle license right as the pandemic took a turn for the worse in 2020. But she said it allowed her to experience a sense of freedom during an otherwise not so freeing time. She was able to get outside, get on her bike, and ride without any intention of reaching a destination. It was just her and her bike and the open road. The sound of the motorcycle’s engine quieted her anxieties. Her mind only had one place to go when she was riding—forward.
These photographs are a way for Regan to remember her achievements—to celebrate her victories and growth. That’s one of the many things I love so much about photography. It’s there to document all the phases up life. The ups, the downs, the progressions. It’s a wonderful way to remember who you were in that exact moment. It’s a trip down memory lane, a time capsule, an heirloom. It’s love frozen in time.
