this was my first portrait session with a fellow photographer, and oh my god was it magical! I met Regan about a year ago through a mutual friend (Blair Staky of The Fox & She). I don't have many photographer friends in the city, so meeting Regan felt like a breath of fresh air. Someone who loves photography as much as me, could relate to the successes and struggles of being a budding photographer and a fellow business woman...Hell. Yes.

Over the summer, we co-taught a photography workshop for Windy City Blog Co and agreed afterwards that a photoshoot was in order. On a beautiful day this past fall, we wandered around the picturesque Lyman Woods while talking life, photography and everything in between. Regan was so fun to work with, and it felt like catching up with an old friend. It went exactly how I hope for all my portrait sessions to go- Relaxed, Fun and Freely you.

Please do yourself a favor and check out Up Close & Tasty to see Regan's unbelievable food photography and incredible recipes.

Thank you Regan, for allowing yourself to be vulnerable and experience life on the other side of the lens for a change—I'm so happy you took the leap :)
