I think this was my first portrait session with a fellow photographer, and oh my god, was it magical! I met Regan about a year ago through one of our good friends, Blair Staky from The Fox & She. To be quite honest, I don't have many photographer friends in the city, so meeting Regan felt like a breath of fresh air. Someone who loved photography as much as me and could relate to the successes and struggles of a budding photographer and business woman...Hell. Yes.

Over the summer, we co-taught a photography workshop for Windy City Blog Co and agreed a photoshoot was in order. On a beautiful day this past fall, we wandered around picturesque Lyman Woods while talking life, photography, & everything in between. Regan was so fun to work with because it felt like catching up with an old friend. It was exactly how I hope for all my portrait sessions to go. Relaxed. Fun. Freely you.

Please do yourself a kind favor and check out Up Close & Tasty to see her unbelievable food photography & recipes.

Thank you Regan, for allowing yourself to be vulnerable & experience life on the other side of the lens for a change—I'm so happy you took the leap :)
